After spending time searching online articles about what makes a good blog, I came across an article entitled, What Makes A Good Blog, posted by Sherrie Baksh.
This blog is basically a blog about the art world. It displays images and videos of works of art from around the world and many different aspects of art, as well as updates on artists and information on what is currently going on. As posted as what could be taken as their mission statement it says,
“Art News Blog is a selection of visual art news, art reviews and art related stories online. We search the web for some of the more interesting art news stories published each day.”
The blogger’s writing style is informal for the most part. As you read you feel like you are reading something from a friend as opposed to someone who is speaking online in scientific terms. This way of informing the audience is a great way to engage with the readers.
The blogger does a great job at incorporating links, pictures and videos throughout the entire blog. When he is taking information from a different source other than his own he adds the link so that the audience can see where his information came from as well as finding out more on that particular idea if need be.
Overall, this blog makes great use of its postings, images, links and archives as well as continuously keeping the information up to date and interacting with his audience. This blog is a great example and follows many positives from sources on how to make a good blog.

Hi Lindsey. I enjoyed reading your review of artnewsblog and I took the time to look it over. It looks like a great place for someone who likes art but doesn't have the background "to do some learnin'." Are you planning to post some of your own work here or have links to it? I hope so.
